Dan Mason is running for Oregon State Representative in House District 30 – which includes the communities of Hillsboro, Beaverton and North Plains on the edge of the Silicon Forest of Washington County.
Dan grew up in Southern Oregon where he studied history and political science at Umpqua Community College. For the past 15 years, Dan has worked for Prime Group, a property management company. As a community manager he oversees a property with over $4 million in revenue and a community in which houses hundreds of residents of Washington County.
As co-founder and past President of Emerging Leaders of Oregon, Dan has been in the driver’s seat of Portland’s most prolific political incubator. The organization continues to inform, inspire and equip an emerging generation of leaders to actively engage with and improve their communities, businesses and government.
Dan is currently serving on the Budget committee for the City of Hillsboro and the Public Policy committee for the Hillsboro of Chamber of Commerce. As a member of Multifamily NW Housing Association, Dan advocated for common sense housing solutions that balance property rights along with tenant rights. As a member of the executive committee for the Washington County Republican Party, Dan was the chairman of the Reagan Dinner 2015 which brought in several national speakers, including Ronald Reagan’s former executive assistant to share about the former Presidents timeless principles of leadership.
Dan’s passion for public service has led him to seek this Legislative Seat to offer a more balanced set of solutions for dealing with housing, transportation, job creation, and long-term sustainability of our community.
Dan is married to Jaclyn Mason, and in July of this year will celebrate their son Jacob’s 1st birthday.
